I hate to admit this but this is an old recipe from MARTHA. You don't have to be picky - you don't need to use all the fruit, or you can use more. What is important is the Grand Marnier (buy the small bottles in the liquor store), the wine should be drinkable without this recipe, and the fresh orange juice-it really does the trick.

SANGRIA
Serves 6 to 8

1 ripe peach, pitted and sliced
1 apricot, pitted and sliced
5 strawberries, sliced
1 seedless orange, sliced in rounds
Pinch of sugar
1/4 cup Grand Marnier or Cointreau
1 bottle dry red such as Spanish rioja or Bordeaux
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice

Macerate the fruits in granulated sugar and 1/4 cup Grand Marnier or
Cointreau. In a pitcher with some ice, combine the macerated fruit the liqueur with
the remaining ingredients. Mix well, and serve.
